Arcada sker nu en akademichef fr akademin fr masterutbildning och forskning fr perioden 1.8.2024 31.7.2029. Anskningstiden gr ut sndag 14.4.2024.

Som akademichef ska du som del av Hgskolans ledningsgrupp aktivt delta i den gemensamma utvecklingen av Hgskolans verksamhet. Du utvecklar och leder verksamheten inom akademin i enlighet med Hgskolans vision strategi och mlsttningar samt utifrn de resultatml principbeslut och riktlinjer som dras upp av rektor och ledningsgruppen.

Du har ett vergripande ansvar fr att utveckla hgskolans forsknings utvecklings och innovationsverksamhet och dess ntverk samt att strategiskt trygga de ekonomiska frutsttningarna fr detta.

Vi sker dig som med ett aktivt grepp vill lotsa Hgskolan och akademin fr masterutbildning och forskning. Du har pedagogisk kompetens och ser digitala verktyg som en spnnande mjlighet. Du jobbar resultatorienterat och kan hantera strre strategiska helheter. Du har erfarenhet av ekonomiplanering och uppfljning samt frmga att engagera mnniskor fr en gemensam sak och du r en god kommunikatr.

Till dina huvudsakliga uppgifter som akademichef hr:

• att aktivt arbeta fr akademiverskridande verksamhet och delta i den strategiska ledningen av Hgskolan som del av ledningsgruppen
• att utveckla och leda akademins verksamhet och systematiska kvalitetsarbete
• att utveckla och leda Hgskolans forskningsverksamhet i enlighet med Hgskolans strategi samt att bredda och utka den externa forskningsfinansieringen
• att stda upprtthlla och skapa nya nationella och internationella forskningsntverk och kontakt till relevanta finansieringskllor samt att odla Hgskolans relationer till relevanta myndigheter
• att utveckla Hgskolans publikationsverksamhet i enlighet med Hgskolans strategi
• att ansvara fr den pedagogiska utvecklingen inom akademin med beaktande av nya pedagogiska stt samt digitaliseringens mjligheter
• att ansvara fr rapportering avseende akademins verksamhet
• att ansvara fr akademins ekonomi och resultatuppfljning
• att ansvara fr akademins personalplanering och utveckling i samrd med HR samt verka som chef fr akademins personal

Utgende frn din erfarenhet och bakgrund kan ven andra uppgifter tillkomma.

I egenskap av akademichef r du medlem av Hgskolans ledningsgrupp och fungerar som arbetsgivarens representant. Du har ett administrativt chefskontrakt och rapporterar direkt till Hgskolans rektor.

Formella kompetenskrav:

• verlrarbehrighet (doktorsgrad)
• Erfarenhet av akademiskt ledarskap/chefsuppdrag samt i praktiken visad frmga att leda mnniskor och processer
• Visad pedagogisk kompetens inklusive pedagogisk digital kompetens samt undervisningserfarenhet
• Erfarenhet av nationellt och internationellt samarbete inom forskningssektorn
• Framgngsrik erfarenhet av att skriva projektanskningar och anska om extern finansiering
• Erfarenhet av att leda forsknings och publiceringsverksamhet
• Resultatorienterad med erfarenhet av budgetansvar
• Frmga att hantera strre strategiska helheter
• Frmga att kommunicera muntligt och skriftligt p svenska finska och engelska.

Arcada is looking for a dean responsible for the activities within the graduate school and research (hereafter the school) for the period 1.8.2024 31.7.2029. The deadline for the applications is Sunday 14.4.2024.

As dean you will as part of the UASs management group actively participate in the joint development of the UASs activities. You will develop and manage the activities of the School in accordance with the UASs vision strategy and objectives and based on the performance targets decision of principle and guidelines drawn up by the rector and the management group.

You have overall responsibility for developing the UASs research development and innovation activities and its networks and for strategically securing the financial conditions for this.

We are looking for you who want to guide the UAS and the graduate school and research with an active approach. You have pedagogical competence and see digital tools as an exciting opportunity. You work with a resultoriented perspective and can manage larger strategic tasks. You have experience of budget planning and followup the ability to engage people in a common cause and you are a good communicator.

Your main tasks as Dean include:

• to actively work for crossschool activity and participate in the strategic management of the UAS as part of the management group
• to develop and lead the schools activities and the schools systematic quality work
• to develop and lead the UASs research activities in accordance with the strategy and to broaden and increase external research funding
• to support maintain and create new national and international research networks and contacts with relevant funding sources and to cultivate the UASs relations with relevant authorities
• to develop the UASs publication activities in accordance with the strategy
• to be responsible for the pedagogical development within the School taking into account new pedagogical methods and the possibilities offered by digitalization
• to be responsible for reporting on the schools activities
• to be responsible for the schools finances and followup of results
• to be responsible for the schools personnel planning and development in consultation with HR and to act as head of the schools personnel

Depending on your experience and background other tasks may be added.

As dean you are a member of the UASs management group and act as the employers representative. You have an administrative manager contract and report directly to the Rector of the UAS.

Formal qualification requirements:

• Principal lecturer qualification (Ph.D.)
• Experience in academic leadership/management and demonstrated ability to manage people and processes in practice
• Demonstrated pedagogical competence including pedagogical digital competence and teaching experience
• Experience in national and international cooperation in the research sector
• Successful experience in writing project applications and applying for external funding.
• Experience in managing research and publishing activities
• Resultoriented with experience in budgetary responsibility
• Ability to manage larger strategic entities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Swedish Finnish and English other language skills are considered a merit
