MUST HAVE CURRENT COVID VACCINATION AND BOOSTER Required Toshiba/Canon CT experiencePerform radiographic exams including Computed Tomography (CT) works independently in performing these modalities. Collaborate with radiologists providers and other technologists to improve patient care. Provides call services on a rotational basis. Apply previous computer experience to new applications for imaging and record keeping. May be required to travel to provide services at clinics throughout the Consortium. Understand that inadequate communication with the patient provider and radiologist can adversely affect patient health. Creatively works with other SEARHC staff to solve problems.Performs diagnostic CT exams of human anatomy. Places IVs for contrast injections. Follows protocols set by the radiologist. Performs daily QA/QC on CT equipment. Receives patient explains procedure and creates a safe environment for the patient through good communication skills. Accurately inputs pertinent medical information into EHR RIS/PACS and other systems as necessary. Is very familiar with power injectors and appropriate use. Understands various types of contrast media and their use. Performs diagnostic xray examinations of human anatomy. Follows standard positions and protocols and views prescribed by SEARHC radiologists. Receives patients explains procedures and utilizes standardized techniques settings and positions to accomplish acceptable results.Office Duties. Performs office jobs including but not limited to: answering phones scheduling patients exams printing reports retrieving charts researching problems ordering supplies and helping radiologists and providers. Responsible for QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities. Documents: CTDI and DLP amount of contrast administered exam performed and other information as required by the Joint Commission standards.EducationGraduation from an accredited Radiography SchoolExperience2 years experience Radiography1 year experience CTToshiba/Canon CT experienceCerner experience preferredFuji PACS experience preferredLicense/CertificationsAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certifiedCT certification requiredMust complete annual educational requirements for licenses/certifications in areas where you function i.e CT dose MRI safety.Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesKnowledgeExtensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology used in standard radiographic and CT.Extensive knowledge of radiation physics and protection (ALARA).
