Acute Care Medicine Unit RN

The Unit: Mixed medical surgical general care telemetry and progressive care unit with 28 beds. As medicine is its own division and considered a true specialty here our nurse to patient ratio is 4:1 and occasionally go to 5:1 but that is the exception and not the rule. This unit takes a wide variety of patients with primary diagnosis being Sepsis Sickle Cell Anemia and Heart Failure. The unit is supported by patient care techs and a unit secretary 24 hours a day 7 days a week and we have experienced nurses experienced charge nurses and clinical coordinators who will ensure that you have support while with us. As an academic center you will have access to physicians and a staffed Rapid Response Team 24 hours a day 7 days a week. While we are not a COVID unit we do care for COVID patients and you MUST be able to care for them when the need arises.
