The Accounts Receivable Officer holds the responsibility for processing daily banking transactions and assisting in managing debtor accounts. They review banking remittances and statements to ensure that all client invoice payments are processed in accordance with trading terms. Additionally they provide ad hoc support to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Work Setup: Onsite during probationary period Hybrid upon regularization (Ortigas)

What do you need to succeed
  • Bachelors or College Degree
  • Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Previous employment experience in an Accounts Receivable role (2 years)
  • Australian experience is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrable understanding of accounting practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of debtor procedures and reporting.
  • Intermediate skills demonstrated in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated skills in using corporate mainframe payroll and accountsrelated systems.
  • Excellent time management skills.

What awaits you in this role

  • The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for processing daily banking and assist managing debtor accounts.

Finance:

  • Review banking remittances and statements to ensure all invoice payments by clients are processed in accordance with trading terms.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Process:

  • Process allocate and post complete daily banking by the close of the business day.
  • Allocate bank deposit (EFT) payments and take followup action on missing remittances or identification of unknown payee details.
  • Allocate cheque payments and organize daily banking.
  • Maintain auditable and traceable records.
  • Liaise with the Bank reconciliation officer/accountant to assist with allocation/provision of information on nondebtor receipts.
  • Clear amounts of $1 or less to minor adjustments at monthend.
  • Email Credit Control team and management banking receipts and major client payment totals daily.
  • Distribute monthly debtors statements.
  • Maintain and manage the remit email inbox.
  • Query investigate and respond to banking queries within a reasonable period and provide copies of invoices and timesheets upon request.
  • Maintain an accurate client database to include updated changes and full and comprehensive notes.
  • Update fortnightly totals in overdue debtors and debtor days reports.
  • Maintain customers nurture and build client relationships and promote professionalism at all times.
  • Operate according to best practice guidelines; regulatory and contractual policy and procedures.
  • Liaise with the National Manager Finance Shared Services to ensure compliance with accounting guidelines.
  • Familiarize and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems policies and procedures.
  • Actively identify develop and implement business process improvements and efficiencies within your area.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by your manager.

  • Assist in other functions relevant to the team.
  • Actively engage and participate in the companys performance management framework and review processes.
