Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Overview:We are looking for a detailoriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk with experience in the produce industry to manage our receivables and ensure timely collection of payments from our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles familiarity with produce invoicing and billing processes and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and send out accurate and timely invoices to customers for produce deliveries.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments particularly within the context of the produce industrys payment cycles.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely billing of produce orders.
• Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and facilitate timely collections.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions and adjustments related to produce sales.
• Reconcile accounts receivable subledger to general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports specific to the produce industry for management review.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection processes related to produce sales.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk preferably with experience in the produce industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices particularly as they relate to the produce industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
• Detailoriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
