Job Summary:
We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Accounts Officer (AP) to join our clients collaborative and highly functional finance team.
Our client is a leading Australian recruitment agency providing services to the healthcare industry in every state and region.
Reporting to the Finance Director this role will see you champion a constant drive for the smooth weekly pay runs assuming responsibility for processes and maintaining high work standards and procedures to ensure an accurate and timely payment service to nurses doctors and external suppliers.

Job Description:
Directly related to Accounts Payable:
- Reviewing interpreting and entering the invoices submitted electronically by nurses doctors and suppliers
- Preparing the pay runs
- Recharging disbursements incurred by candidates to clients
- Liaising with suppliers and employees by email and phone
- Conducting investigations preparing reports undertaking audits and ensuring all Accounts Payable accounts are reconciled accurately
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Other financial
- Prepare monthly client reporting
- Assist with the Monthend reporting:
- Update the Balance sheet reconciliations
- Review the different P&Ls prior to finalisation
- Update the weekly cashflow
Requirements
Requirements/Skills needed:
- 35 years experience as an Accounts Officer Financial Accountant or similar role
- Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Xero (required) and Astute (nicetohave)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop your career
- Willing to collaborate be team orientated and cover other finance roles due to leave
- Ability to use initiative be selfdirected and work under minimal supervision
- Positive cando and hardworking attitude but also someone who likes to get involved socially within the team
- Experience working in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines and manage to change priorities
- Strong communication skills to both internal teams and external stakeholders
