As an Accounts Officer you will be responsible for documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for all financial records. This includes developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are suitable for the users and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). • Minimum 2 years experience in the role
  
• Knowledge to tools like Xero Microsoft Suite (e.g. Outlook excel word)
  
• Understanding of Australian Payroll & GST (Goods & Services Tax in Australia) is preferable.
  
• Ability to work as a team and independently.
  

• Documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for all financial records.
  
• Developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  
• Developing implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  
• Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management accounts payable accounts receivable credit control petty cash invoicing and billing.
  
• Ensuring accounts payable and accounts receivable are settled within the specified terms of trade and following up on overdue accounts by phone and email for settlement.
  
• Maintaining credit card receipts and reconciling monthly statements.
  
• Managing the bookkeeping function utilizing the Xero Accounting Package including maintaining accounts payable accounts receivable and contact information.
  
• Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of BAS and IAS Statements.
  
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures as required to ensure the secure and private maintenance of all personnel and financial information.
  
• Reconciling transactions against bank and credit card account bank feeds.
  
• Handling payroll and superannuation including preparing verifying and maintaining all employee timesheets.
  
• Monitoring and reporting on established KPIs.
  
• Performing general administration tasks as required from time to time.
