Overview

The Accounts and Store position plays a crucial role in managing both the financial aspects and inventory of the store. This role contributes to the overall success of the organization by ensuring accurate financial records and efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Conduct regular audits of store inventory
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Monitor and control store expenses
  • Oversee cash handling and reconciliation
  • Coordinate with suppliers for inventory replenishment
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions
  • Supervise store personnel and provide training
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues
  • Implement and maintain effective store security measures
  • Participate in store promotional events and sales activities
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize store profitability
  • Utilize accounting software and pointofsale systems
  • Collaborate with management on budget planning and forecasting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field
  • Proven experience in retail accounting and store management
  • Knowledge of inventory control and merchandising principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and budgeting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailoriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
  • Uptodate knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • Experience in staff supervision and training
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Understanding of customer service principles
  • Familiarity with pointofsale systems and retail operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
