We are hiring an Accounting Office Specialist for one of our clients in Berkeley CA.

Job Description:

  • To handle invoice processing handling mail and email invoices printing and distributing invoices as per departments preference scanning invoices to a folder located in a shared drive and consolidating monthly vendor statements to verify and investigate any unpaid past due invoices.
  • Setting invoices up for payment and entering and uploading invoices into the AP system.
  • Vendor file maintenance and vendor correspondence and query response.

Skills Preferred:

  • Adherence to deadlines and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment Familiarity with accounting principles and practices

Experience Required:

  • Very precise Knowledge of accounts payable Email and telephone contact with requestors Communication skills analytical thinking attention to details Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes Experience in mail distribution.

Experience Preferred:

  • Principles and practices related to bookkeeping internal controls automated accounting systems accounting and business ethics.
  • Basic arithmetic tenkey by touch calculator and spreadsheet formulas.
  • Basic experience with workrelated computer applications such as Microsoft Windows Word Excel Outlook databases and related financial and record keeping.
  • Pay attention to detail and enter a high volume of data.
  • Close familiarity with accounts payable procedures Prior professional experience in an accounting environment

Education Required:

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school and an understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required

Work hours:

  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
