Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for monthend closing activities accruals and deferral posting books of account maintenance segmented reporting audit support tax reporting for the entity.
Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of Books of Account Posting of Accruals and Adjustments
a. Ensure posting of accruals and adjustments related to monthend closing of books
b. Ensure correctness of reporting per segment
c. Tax computation of the related entity and proposal to file to the Supervisor
d. Posting of adjusting JVs and allocations if required
2. Monthend closing of books Generation of Reports
a. Submission of Books of Accounts (BS IS CF) and reports required by the management
b. Analysis of Variances vs. approved budget
c. Monitoring of GL balances such as but not limited to advances to employees and ensuring liquidations are given.
3. File maintenance and Record keeping
a. Maintaining proper records management soft or hard copies in order to retrieve the files with ease when needed
4. Assistance during audit and tax engagements/audit
a. Submit Tax recon as required by the Supervisor/Lead/Manager
b. Submit all records and reports required by the auditor during audit engagement
