Job Description

Our client is looking for an internal Accountant with the ability to invoice clients, apply cash receipts, reconcile client accounts, prepare journal entries, expense reports, general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for any aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Send invoices to clients on a regular basis.
  • Manage the recording of revenue and receivable and work closely with the team to ensure that revenues and receivables are reconciled at any given time.
  • Assist with the day-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department including billing and accounts payable functions.
  • Assist with timesheet collection.
  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures.
  • Review expense coding to ensure compliance and tag all eligible costs including staff reimbursements on monthly basis.
  • Review and process expense reports and receipts submitted by cardholders on monthly basis.
  • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including employer s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Accounting and business experience, 2 years minimum applicable experience
  • Knowledge of the staffing and contract labor industry, and knowledge of the technology consulting industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of NetSuite a plus
  • A high level of professionalism and integrity to include maintaining confidentiality
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven and energetic with exceptional work ethic.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Problem solving skills with unstructured information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel).
  • Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
