Our client is a global creative marketing agency that knows how to speak to one individual, a million at a time.

Our client is looking for a bright, confident, and experienced Account Director (or very experienced SAM looking to step up) to work on one of the largest accounts - TV Licensing.
TV Licensing is one of the biggest accounts in the agency and still growing with a 45-strong team. We have had the account since 2002 and the client satisfaction scores have consistently been among the highest in the agency. This account is likely to be the most multi-faceted and strategic account you ll work on for two reasons. First is that part of your job is to communicate to every household in the UK across multiple channels. Secondly you ll get to work and learn from some of the most talented people in the industry, both within our internal team, but also industry experts in data, research and behavioural sciences. This is a unique role as it means you don t just get involved in the communications and marketing, but the way the Business Units are set up means you will get the opportunity to build much broader skills and knowledge about running a business. Your role will form part of the business, not just the marketing team, so you will be involved in the commercials, building business cases, operations and exposure to senior stakeholders.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reporting into a GAD, the candidate will play a pivotal role in leading key strategies and initiatives that align with the broader business objectives. A strategic partner: To build an understanding of the business and broader landscape to work collaboratively to bring together data analytics and customer insights to deliver innovative recommendations and ideas.
  • Look to learn and leverage agency tools and identify opportunities to use these tools to enhance/strengthen/evolve the work we do for TV Licensing, which is going through a period of transition.
  • Taking the lead on key projects: Working with the wider team of operations, data planners, planners, analysts, selections and the account team to define and scope projects, through to successful delivery of the final campaign.
  • Proficient in delivering successful campaigns in direct channels, as well as multi-channel to ensure a consistent and optimum plan, timings and messaging.
  • A relationship expert: Be a trusted partner and go-to person for the key client, building an understanding of their role as well as internal business requirements and challenges. Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the wider business, to keep them involved and obtain input and specialist expertise to feed into scoping and delivery
  • Create outstanding creative work: A driver and champion of smart, inspiring and hard working creative across multiple channels.
  • Team leader: Not only with managing the day-to-day, but in motivating, but the skills and experience to motivate and inspire teams to be happy, successful and to create the best ideas.
  • Commercial skills: Able to lead on managing the overall budget, ensuring the delivery of client estimates and billing, as well as monitoring utilisation to ensure projects are managed efficiently.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience as an AD or equivalent (or a SAM more than ready to step up to AD role)
  • Passionate about data and comfortable working with strategy, data planners, and other data teams to deliver exceptional work, that works Strategic in approach and understands the importance of combining data, research, and insights to develop
  • Driven with a natural curiosity to learn, build knowledge and lead teams to deliver responsive and hardworking campaigns
  • Exposure to multiple campaigns channels including DM & email, but also digital and social channels
  • Excited to deliver dynamic creative work and able to harness our internal talent to optimise creative and design
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
