JOB DESCRIPTION:

EIM is looking for senior Cloud SAS Grid/Viya Administrator that will be playing a key role in administering our SAS Analytics infrastructure. In this role you will be responsible for the advanced administration optimization and support operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing SAS Grid and SAS Viya 4 & Kubernetes deployments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Migrate existing SAS Grid 9.4 environment from on prem to AWS first phase of the project.
• Migrate SAS Grid 9.4 environment on AWS to SAS VIYA 4 on AWS second phase of the project.
• Manage the installation configuration and maintenance of SAS Grid and SAS Viya 4 on Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement best practices for smooth deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of SAS Viya with Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Implement performance tunning strategies and best practices.
• Implement best practices for scaling SAS platforms to meet growing demands.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to SAS components.
• Troubleshoot installation issues user issues on daily basis.
• Review and understand SAS logs to determine errors and whether SAS environment is functioning correctly.
• Provide daytoday operation of the SAS platform on AWS cloud and provide technical support to developers researchers and analysts.
• Participate in oncall rotation for critical issue resolution.
• Perform patching upgrades and installation of Hotfixes across the environments as necessary.
• Continuous 24/7 operations support for SAS environments.

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience in administration of SAS Grid and minimum 2 years of experience managing SAS Viya environments.
• Proven success in installing optimizing and supporting largescale SAS Grid and SAS Viya deployments.
• Migration experience between SAS Grid and SAS VIYA.
• Expertise in security strategies performance optimization and strategic planning for analytics infrastructure.
• 5 years of handson production experience and knowledge on using and troubleshooting issues with SAS Development and Management Tools.
• Production experience with core AWS services.
• Working with SAS GRIDrelated high availability and failover requirements including storage architecture and configuration (Amazon FSx for Lustre).
• Strong working experience on Linux environment.
• Experience with and applying SAS GRID usage tracking monitoring alerts notification and load balancing.
• Should possess the ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• General knowledge of project management and proactive selfstarter.
• Excellent communication skills and be effective writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to independently research and resolve technical problems in a complex IT environment with local and remote groups.
