ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a reliable and organized Bookkeeper to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for a meticulous professional with solid bookkeeping fundamentals who takes pride in keeping the numbers clean and the books balanced.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Record and maintain accurate day-to-day financial transactions including purchases receipts payments and sales.
• Reconcile bank accounts credit card statements and petty cash on a regular basis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Process vendor invoices staff expense claims and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare basic financial reports such as trial balances income statements and balance sheet summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial records and documentation.
• Liaise with the accounting team to flag discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.
• Assist with VAT and tax filing preparation where applicable.
• Support audits by providing accurate and well-organized documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting assistant experience.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proficiency in bookkeeping or accounting software (QuickBooks Xero Wave or similar).
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office tools.
• Honest trustworthy and discreet in handling confidential financial information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
