Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts investigating discrepancies and ensuring inventory integrity within the warehouse.
Essential Functions
- Perform daily cycle counts on assigned inventory locations.
- Identify research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
- Work closely with warehouse purchasing and production teams to correct issues.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Receiving and shipping support: Unpack count verify incoming shipment and assist with outgoing orders as needed.
- Follow company safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse or inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with ERP or Inventory Management programs preferred.
- Familiarity with barcode scanners and RF devised a plus.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft word excel powerpoint outlook teams)
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Work hours M-F 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Overtime may be required during inventory counts or peak periods.
- Ability to stand walk bend squat and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs on occasion using safe lifting practices.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with concrete flooring and varying temperatures.
