Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Authority & Electrical System Strategy

Act as the technical authority for electrical systems across facilities construction programs including HV MV and LV distribution systems.
Define and govern electrical system architecture redundancy concepts capacity planning and longterm scalability to support fab expansion and tool loading.
Review challenge and approve consultant and contractor electrical designs calculations material selections and deviations.
Lead resolution of complex systemlevel issues involving power reliability protection coordination grounding arcflash risk and emergency power systems.

2. Construction Execution & Integration Leadership

Provide seniorlevel technical leadership during construction execution with strong onsite presence during critical activities.
Drive resolution of field constructability and integration challenges including brownfield tieins phased cutovers and live facility interfaces.
Influence contractor execution strategies sequencing and recovery plans related to electrical critical path activities.
Partner with CSA mechanical process utilities tool install and facilities operations teams to ensure endtoend system integration.

3. Testing Commissioning & Startup Readiness

Govern testing commissioning and energization strategies for electrical systems.
Lead or oversee Site acceptance test to validate redundancy reliability and failsafe performance.
Support early energization phased turnon and Handover aligned with construction and tool movein milestones.
Ensure systems meet operational reliability maintainability and safety requirements prior to turnover.
Review and approve handover documentation like As-built drawings Test reports & O&M documentation

4. Regulatory Code & Safety Compliance (Singapore & International)

Ensure all electrical designs installations testing commissioning and energisation activities comply with applicable local regulations codes of practice and internationally recognized standards.

Singapore statutory and regulatory compliance including but not limited to:

SS 638 Code of Practice for Electrical Installations (formerly CP 5)
SS 650 Code of Practice for Temporary Electrical Installations Part 1 (Construction and Building Sites)
Electricity (Electrical Installations) Regulations under the Electricity Act administered by the Energy Market Authority (EMA)
Applicable requirements from Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for fire safety and workplace safety and health

International standards and best practices as applicable to missioncritical and semiconductor facilities including:

IEC standards for electrical installations and equipment
IEEE standards related to power systems protection grounding and reliability
NFPA standards for fire protection and lifesafety systems
Other globally recognized electrical and safety standards adopted within Micron Global Engineering Standards
Serve as a technical authority on interpretation and application of local and international codes during design reviews construction execution commissioning audits and authority engagements.
Enforce electrical safety best practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO) energized work controls arcflash risk mitigation and safe systems of work throughout construction and startup phases.

5. Standards Governance & Continuous Improvement

Lead development interpretation and continuous improvement of Micron electrical standards specifications and best practices for facilities construction.
Capture lessons learned from construction and commissioning phases across projects
Support programlevel risk reviews executive technical discussions and capital project governance forums.
Mentor Senior Electrical Engineers and elevate overall technical capability within the construction organization

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.

Experience

8 years of experience with facilities or industrial construction with ownership of electrical systems at the largescale or campus level.
Semiconductor fabs data centres or other missioncritical facilities are strongly preferred.

Technical & Professional Competencies

Deep expertise in HV/MV/LV electrical distribution emergency power and protection systems.
Strong understanding of construction execution commissioning and startup in complex environments.
Proven ability to make highimpact technical decisions influence stakeholders and resolve multi-disciplinary issues.
Clear structured communication with both engineering teams and senior leadership.
Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Revit ETAP) strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Working Conditions

This position requires working in both office environments and active construction sites with occasional travel to project locations.
Availability during critical construction energization or commissioning windows as required.
