Job Summary

TeWhiwhingamahi The Opportunity 

This is a handson leadership role where youll guide the team through a range of Learning & OD mahi helping prioritise what matters most while keeping delivery moving. 

  • Execution across learning and organisational development ensuring key programmes engagement cycles and initiatives continue to run smoothly. 

  • Lead support and coach a team of specialists providing clarity prioritisation and the right level of guidance to help them succeed. 

  • Partner with leaders across the business to understand capability needs and deliver practical fitforpurpose learning solutions. 

  • Oversee the rollout of important programmes including leadership development and operational initiatives ensuring they are delivered effectively. 

  • Work across multiple stakeholders and priorities helping the business navigate change while maintaining strong businessasusual delivery. 

Youll be working in an environment where as our rōpū (organisation) evolves priorities can shift so youre someone who can bring structure momentum and calm to complexity. 


Qualifications :

Youre someone who is comfortable leading through change and enjoys bringing clarity where things arent fully defined yet. 

Youll thrive in this fixed-term opportunity if you bring: 

  • Capability in leading programmes or initiatives in learning organisational development change or related environments where youve had senior responsibilities. 

  • A solid understanding of learning leadership development or organisational development practices built through previous mahi. 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and work effectively across a wide range of people and teams. 

  • Confidence working in ambiguity balancing competing priorities while keeping delivery on track. 

  • Leadership experience and strength in adapting your style to meet different needs and levels of experience. 

  • A pragmatic deliveryfocused approach (youre happy to step into the detail when needed to keep things moving!) 

You dont need to bring experience with every system or tool. What matters most is your ability to lead and execute on delivery  build strong working relationships and drive meaningful progress.
