Job Summary
Summary of Position
A Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairing production equipment as required while working with the shift lead hand and members of the team to complete electrical and mechanical projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts inventory levels.
- Performrepairsonequipmenttorestoreittoproperandsafeworkingconditions.
- Perform installation set up modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate orimproveproductionrequirements.
- Read/writeelectricalandelectronicschematics/diagramsbasichydraulicandpneumaticdiagrams.
- Testelectricalandelectronicequipmentandcomponentsforcontinuitycurrentvoltageandresistance
- Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown or unsafeoperatingconditionsandinformMaintenanceManageraboutchangesinelectriccircuitsandupdateoriginal diagrams.
- AlwaysfollowLOCKOUTprocedureonunsafemachines/machinesbeingserviced.
- Adhere to work orders preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required formsandorganizeworkplacetocomply withhousekeepingrequirements.
- Performpreventative/predictivemaintenancetoallproductionequipmentasrequired.
- CompleteelectricalandmechanicalprojectsbasedondirectiongivenfromMaintenanceSupervisorasrequiredbygovernmentregulation.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies procedures andregulationsalways.
- Initiate and complete all other jobs projects and special assignments as directed byMaintenanceSupervisor
- Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures toimprovehealthandsafety.
- Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors contactors relays timers types of switches PLCs light curtains motorcontrolsandvalves.
Qualifications :
Skills
- Able to read wiring diagrams electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics andladder/function block logic.
- Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (SiemensStep 7 Beckhoff TwinCat etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors relays mainvoltage/controlvoltage limit switches andproximity sensors
- Excellentinter-personalandcommunicationskills

Education and/or Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience within related role.
Preferred:
- At least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities
- A certificate from technical trade school Military experience in lieu of or related subject
