Job Summary
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Working in a computerized environment the Pharmacy Assistant measures compounds packages and distributes drugs and medications as authorised by a Pharmacist; checks the work of other Pharmacy Assistants for completeness and accuracy; and maintains related records in accordance with established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Grade 12 graduation from a recognised Pharmacy Assistant course plus one (1) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
