Senior Mechanical Engineer – Waste Handling Systems Equipment & Packages Engineering

• Execution of Waste Handling lots (cost quality schedule responsibility) under Equipment & Packages Engineering Manager coordination
• Coordination and delivery of Concept and Basic Engineering including internal/external interface management
• Preparation of technical specifications for procurement packages (waste reception storage feeding systems waste cranes bottom ash cranes and related equipment)
• Supplier selection offer evaluation and timely placement of purchase orders
• Supplier expediting during detailed engineering including documentation control inspections and FATs
• Cross-functional collaboration with procurement arrangement planning civil electrical and process departments
• Interface clarification across disciplines and plant lots
• Installation/commissioning support technical troubleshooting during project execution and operation and knowledge transfer (standardization and lessons learned)

Qualifications :

• Strong process and product knowledge in Waste Handling systems
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (FH/ETH or technical university)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial plant engineering
• Experience with crane systems (waste cranes bottom ash cranes bulk material handling grab cranes preferred)
• Background in Energy from Waste power generation or heavy industry advantageous
• Experience in supplier management procurement of complex systems and multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience in project execution supplier coordination and delivery of complex mechanical systems in plant engineering
• Fluent English; German is an advantage plus willingness to travel internationally (supplier visits FATs site support)
