How you will make an impact
As a Food Service Assistant at Cabrini Brighton hospital you will make a positive impact on the overall patient experience by providing a high level of service. We are seeking experienced hospitality trained Food Services Assistants to join our dedicated Food Preparation team and perform a range of duties including:
- Assisting Patients with menu ordering
- Preparation of food and beverages for our patients
- Cleaning of kitchen and equipment
- Providing service to patient rooms and associated areas
- Working with other hospital team members to optimise the safety care and overall experience of our patients
Flexibility with availability is preferred to fill a range of shifts throughout the week (AM/PM shifts Mon-Sun)
What were looking for
Along with commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our patients and a team focussed approach you will also have the following:
- Food Handlers Certificate (or the willingness to undertake at Cabrini)
- Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes (advantageous)
- Experience in a food service industry of at least 12 months will be highly regarded
- Experience cooking in a previous role (desirable)
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- Well developed communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English
- Effective interpersonal skills combined with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships with patients and colleagues
