Responsibilities
Assists in the development and management of the Department of Waters annualcapital budget with sources and uses the ten-year capital improvement program the annual capitalappropriation budget and the daily management of capital funds. Performs administrative duties associatedwith the daily management of construction and service contracts which includes assisting with contractagreements preparing City Managers reports for contract award processing contract change orders (oramendments) and coordinating with project managers on proper procedures. The incumbent ensures timelypayments are made to consultants/contractors resolves payment issues and manages the financial portions ofthe contracts to make sure that all changes are properly accounted for and funded. The Water ContractsAdministrator is also accountable for the financial management of any grant funds acquired by the Departmentof Water. This includes compliance with all of the grant requirements and reporting of funds. Must be able towork closely with all bureaus in the Division of Water as well as all levels of the City organization to completeassigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or other closely related field
AND 3years of experience in the areas of budgeting accounting financial reporting or auditing. Must havemanagement level experience in grants and capital projects.
Degree must be from a college or university thatis accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges andUniversities or equivalent region.
License Requirements
Must have a valid drivers license at time of appointment and maintain as a condition of employment.

Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination including drug screen. Applicants offered employment with the City will be required to pass a nicotine screening. Newly hired employees must remain tobacco and nicotine free as a condition of continued employment.
