The Equipment Engineer improves the efficiency capability and reliability of manufacturing processes equipment and infrastructure. This role applies engineering principles to process designoptimization automation troubleshooting and documentation while collaborating with cross-functionalteams to support safe compliant and cost-effective manufacturing operations at our Manufacturing Facility in Johns Creek GA. Specifics include:

  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing processes andequipment by utilizing statistical analysis design of experimentsequipment improvements FMEAs and daily process troubleshooting.

  • Identifying areas for improvement (sustainable gains in productquality output and cost reduction) and recommending appropriateSolutions.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysiscorrective actions and preventive measures.

  • Participation in capital projects including management of associatedinternal resources and validation

  • Provide appropriate level of technical support based on role seniorityand work with various organizations on key processes.

  • Ensures compliance with HSE and Quality systems including but notlimited to GXP/GMP ISO FDA and OSHA regulations.

  • Execute protocols and continuous improvement support for siteinitiatives and prepare documentation related to procedures trainingwork instructions validation etc.

  • Prepares documentation in compliance with Quality requirements aspart of the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and /orprocesses including URS FDS/FS FMEA and others.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 8 yrs; Assoc.4 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English

  • Work Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
