Job Summary
Job Title: Business Systems Analyst -15 years Exp.
Location: Austin TX (Hybrid - Local candidates only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities & Required Experience:
- Review analyze and evaluate business systems workflows and user needs
- Formulate system solutions that align with overall business strategies
- Perform business process reengineering and identify technology solutions to improve business effectiveness
- Analyze raw data and provide data analysis to support business and technical decisions
- Gather and document business functional and technical requirements
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams including Architecture Project Delivery and Application Sustainment
- Participate in software development lifecycle activities including analysis design development support testing and implementation
- Participate in software development reviews and provide guidance to team members in analysis design and testing activities
- Perform and support unit testing system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Prepare solution options risk identification cost/benefit analysis ROI analysis and buy/build recommendations
- Develop detailed documentation of user needs program functions workflows and system enhancement requirements
- Collaborate closely with developers analysts CMS staff and stakeholders to understand application functionality enhancements and updates
- Develop and maintain user guides how-to documents reference manuals and instructional materials for internal applications
- Create and maintain screenshots visuals and step-by-step instructional aids to support end-user documentation
- Update documentation and training materials based on system enhancements and application changes
- Organize and present technical information in a clear concise and user-friendly format for non-technical audiences
- Ensure all documentation accurately reflects application functionality and current system behavior
- Participate in meetings walkthroughs demos and stakeholder discussions to gather system and enhancement information
- Support the development and maintenance of training documentation and end-user support materials
- Apply strong understanding of business analysis knowledge areas methodologies and best practices
- Utilize industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering techniques
- Plan prioritize and organize multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with business users technical teams and leadership
- Translate technical concepts into plain language for business users and end-user communities
- Experience with project management methodologies and PMP knowledge is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and enterprise application environments preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience creating user-focused technical or instructional documentation
- Experience developing screenshots visual aids and instructional content
- PMP certification or project management experience is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting enterprise internal applications and system enhancements
