About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Progression & Awards Officer HE to join our Higher Education team. This role is central to supporting student progression completion and award processing activities while ensuring accuracy compliance and a positive student experience.
Working closely with teams across Student Administration Academic Services Student Experience and Admissions you will play an important role in maintaining academic records supporting progression processes and ensuring students receive timely and accurate guidance throughout their academic journey.
This position will be based at ourOffshore Team (Remote Work and Day Shift) and offered as a full-time fixed-term with an expected end date of28 May 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Progression Management
- Update course and unit data within systems as approved
- Assist with progression planning study plan maintenance and course transition updates
- Maintain accurate student records and audit trails for progression and completion processes
- Monitor maximum course duration CoE expiries and study load compliance
- Process enrolment changes related to progression including CoE extensions early exits and study load changes
- Record academic improvement plans and assist in issuing warning and ITR/ITC notices
Awards & Completion
- Assist in grade audits grade changes and credit/RPL processing for continuing students
- Update completion data in SMS and PRISMS
- Support the identification of students eligible for completion and conferral
- Generate completion letters transcripts and testamurs
- Verify USI data and maintain accurate completion records
Student Support & Communication
- Provide professional and accurate responses to student enquiries relating to progression and completion
- Communicate updates to students in line with institutional policy
- Escalate complex cases to the Senior Officer or Coordinator where required
- Maintain professionalism and consistency in all written and verbal communication
- Support students with guidance regarding course progression academic standing and completion timelines
Education Experience and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor in Business Administration Education or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 12 years experience in student administration or a progression-related role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
- Familiarity with higher education compliance and student systems
- Proficiency in Student Management Systems Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office 365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse remote environment
