Volunteer Coordinator

As a Volunteer Coordinator youll lead and support our hospice and home health volunteer program ensuring volunteers are welltrained supported and meaningfully connected to patient and family needs.

What Youll Do

• Recruit screen train and assign hospice and home health volunteers
• Coordinate volunteer orientation education and ongoing support
• Maintain volunteer records documentation and required reports
• Assign volunteers based on patient and family needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and evaluate volunteers and serve as liaison between volunteers and care teams
• Ensure compliance with CHAP Medicare and organizational standards

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Healthcare Social Sciences or related field (or comparable experience)
• 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare (hospice preferred)
• Experience working with volunteer programs
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy and endoflife care
• Valid drivers license and commitment to ethical compliant practice

• Compensation Range: $22.87 $36.59 per hour
