Job Summary
With multiple awards to our name Larian Studios has proven that were dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games. As we move on to new projects the studio that brought you Baldurs Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Junior Web Dev QA Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Team ensuring clear communication alignment and timely follow-up on assigned tasks.
- Execute testing instructions from the Digital Team and proactively support investigations validation and regression testing.
- Develop maintain and improve web automation scripts for automated testing.
- Maintain end-to-end automation scripts and contribute to the stability of the automation framework.
- Support Gameplay QA feature testing when required based on project priorities and workload availability.
- Develop an understanding of Digital QA workflows and their application across Digital and Gameplay QA contexts.
- Execute testing instructions and validate regressions from the Gameplay QA Team.
Requirements
- Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with QA and Digital teams.
- Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with cross-browser cross-platform and cross-device testing including experience executing tests on at least one browser or platform.
- Foundational understanding of web technologies including HTML and web element locators.
- Strong interest in identifying bugs investigating issues and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality user experience through QA practices.
Nice to haves
- General experience using the Playwright test automation framework.
- Understanding of the Page Object Model design pattern and its use in building scalable maintainable automated test suites.
- General understanding of APIs and their role in testing workflows.
- Familiarity with reporting and task-tracking tools such as Jira.
- General knowledge of GitLab and/or GitHub workflows including version control and collaboration practices.
- Knowledge of WCAG Guidelines.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases with the ability to write simple queries for data retrieval and use database administration tools such as MySQL Workbench or similar.
