We are currently seeking a Manager to join our Private Client Administration and Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the Director Private Client Service and Administration the successful candidate is accountable for all daily tasks and functions of the team ensuring that they are administered on a timely and efficient manner while adhering to policies and procedures and within guidelines of product requirements and securities legislations. Our team takes great pride in providing high quality work and exceptional service for our high net worth clientele in the Assante Private Client and CI Private Wealth platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure work volumes are managed in a timely and efficient manner and the departments quality standards are met. This includes monitoring volume changes to ensure resources and priorities are adjusted accordingly.
  • Review all complex and special requests work with staff to investigate and provide the most optimal corrective action. This includes using effective judgment and making decisions in order to resolve unique situations that do not fall within standard policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coach staff on escalated issues and ensure regular follow up and prompt resolution is achieved. Ensure proactive escalation of issues on matters requiring upper managements attention.
  • Work closely with the custodians. Ensure requests are processed in a timely manner. Quickly identify issues and escalate with custodian management in a timely manner
  • Keep current on industry updates custodian announcements corporate initiatives product changes and updates to policies and procedures. Effectively communicate updates and changes to the team by conducting regular team meetings.
  • Build out a process and ongoing regiment to develop Policies and Procedures for all tasks and ensure these are updated on a quarterly basis.
  • Monitor coach motivate and provide career development to the team. Actively engage in succession planning through identifying and mentoring upcoming leaders. Ensure successful knowledge transition and achievement of employee development goals by coordinating cross training and Learning & Development courses where required.
  • Actively manage long and short-range staffing forecasts and handle employee recruitment. Establish training curriculum for all new associates and monitor their progress for evaluation.
  • Participate in project discovery meetings on upcoming system and program initiatives provide operational/business expertise and requirements and when required co-ordinate resources.
  • Build a strong rapport with our Custodians Advisors Investment Counsellors (IC) Portfolio Managers (PM) Compliance and other internal teams to drive solutions and positive experience for our IC. PM and clients.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience within the financial services industry in a leadership role
  • Strong mutual funds/securities knowledge and understanding of financial products and investment management philosophies
  • Related industry courses (CFA CIM CSC etc.) is a definite asset
  • Excellent analytical organizational time management customer service interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) combined with a high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership skills and self-motivated team player with the ability to work under pressure with demanding workloads
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions
  • Excellent proficiency in MS applications: Word Excel and Outlook

This role follows our inoffice work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is$69500 to $119500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and budget.
