UnityPoint Health - Sioux City provides coordinated clinic hospital and home-based care for patients in Sioux City and the surrounding Siouxland area. UnityPoint Health - Sioux City offers a full range of services and programs that includes a state-of-the-art surgical center 24/7 cardiovascular care and Level III emergency addition UnityPoint Health - Sioux City is also home to St. Lukes College which provides high-quality health system-based education to individuals looking for careers in health care.

  • Established practice serving the Sioux City community
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
  • Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for inpatients

Responsibilities

  • PRN position
  • Evaluates and prepares patients for required anesthetic to be administered
  • Administersanesthetics as required
  • Performs post-anesthesia duties in accordance with departmental policies
  • No OB
  • Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Anesthesia for Nurses
  • Board eligible or board certified
  • Complies with criteria for recertification
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • BLS ACLS PALS required
  • Eligible to work in the United States
