A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Installs maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical infrastructure in facilities.
• Installs operates monitors and maintains utilities including HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) setup maintenance and balancing WFI (water for injection) purified water and process equipment.
• Maintains troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures) internal requirements manufacturers specifications and safety policies.
• Develops maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
• Recommends purchase of maintenance tools equipment and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
• Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes.

TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:Provides technical support in areas such as production operations maintenance safety testing process improvement or product development. Uses schematics diagrams written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components equipment or systems. Gathers maintains formats compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Technical degree in Electromechanics Mechanics or Electrics
• 3 years of experience in facility and building maintenance.
• Experience in the maintenance of HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) systems compressed air process water chilled water including troubleshooting operation and maintenance.
• Experience using computer tools power tools and measurement systems for equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience installing maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical infrastructure in facilities.
• Experience with industrial water systems RO systems DI reclaimed water and pumping systems.
• Preventive corrective and predictive maintenance of equipment and building infrastructure.
• Use of instrumentation and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) compliance with safety regulations (LOTO electrical safety working at heights etc.).
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Knowledge of Maintenance Procedures and their proper documentation. Operation of electrical monitoring and building management systems
• Management and control of spare parts and tool inventory
• Planning of operational maintenance
• Diagnostics of equipment failures and technical problems
• Contractor support and activity monitoring.
