Roles and Responsibilities
1. Team Management & Leadership
Lead mentor and supervise a team of medical coders to achieve accuracy productivity and quality targets.
Plan allocate and monitor daily workflow to ensure timely completion of coding assignments.
Conduct regular team meetings performance reviews feedback sessions and coaching for skill development.
Manage team dynamics resolve conflicts and maintain a positive and high-performance work environment.
2. Coding Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to client guidelines CMS regulations ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS coding standards.
Oversee quality audits guide coders on error correction and implement corrective action plans.
Collaborate with QA teams to maintain high coding accuracy and compliance.
3. Client Communication & Coordination
Participate in regular client calls during overlap shifts to discuss project updates SLAs coding feedback and performance metrics.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients for escalations clarifications and reporting.
Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly reports using MS Office tools.
4. Reporting & MS Office Skills
Use Excel PowerPoint and other MS Office applications to prepare dashboards productivity trackers KPI reports and presentations.
Analyze data trends and share insights with internal stakeholders and clients.
5. Operational Excellence
Monitor operational KPIs such as TAT productivity quality and utilization.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Coordinate with HR Training and Operations for staffing training needs and performance management.
6. Shift Flexibility & Overlap Support
Work in flexible shifts including overlap timings from 01:00 PM to 10:30 PM IST to support US clients.
Ensure smooth handoff between day overlap and evening teams for continuous workflow coverage.
7. Pressure Handling & Decision-Making
Manage high-pressure situations prioritize tasks effectively and make quick operational decisions.
Ensure resolution of high-priority issues without impacting client deliverables.
