The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks to hire (3) Stock Worker Level 2 within the Office of Citywide Procurement (OCP) Logistics unit.

The DCAS Central Storehouse (CSH) inventories a variety of safety janitorial paper oil lubricants and emergency response commodities for distribution to over 1600 agency locations Citywide offering consolidated logistical services and allowing for procurement of goods via an online catalog. The Central Storehouse plays a critical role in the DCAS emergency response and provides logistical services that are effective economical efficient and environmentally friendly. During the pandemic this unit has supported all City agencies (including non-Mayoral) non-profits and members of the public. The prospective candidate will be responsible for performing common laboring work requiring physical strength such as picking supplies and packing unpacking weighing and measuring materials supplies and equipment. The candidate will also leverage multiple mobile features within the Warehouse Management System to optimize the immediate approved request of goods from agencies via PASSPort.

As Stock Workers the prospective candidates will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:

- Operate electrical transports and lift trucks
- Organize and maintain the storage facilities and materials
- Retain records and assist with the preparation of inventories
- Pack unpack count weigh and measure materials supplies and equipment
- Conduct pick-ups deliveries and/or distribution
- Compare materials received against invoices to records signs of damage and discrepancies in quantity.
- Fulfill requisitions upon request
- Pick supplies from shelves to fill requisitions lifting and carrying supplies when necessary
- Maintain or assist in the maintenance of perpetual inventories and detailed inventory records.
- Prepare reports in Warehouse Management System
- Checks requisitions based on commodity codes etc. on Warehouse catalog
- Rotate stock based on date received to comply with FIFO system
