Job Summary

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Events Set-Up team member to join our Facilities team in June 2026. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless execution of campus events and maintaining a clean safe and organized environment for our school community. This is a 12-month full-time position. The hours are typically 12 pm-8:30 pm Monday- Friday with some variation including weekend work based on the schools needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Events Set-Up team you will:

  • Event Setup and Breakdown:
    • Arrange tables chairs and other furniture as required for events.
    • Dress tables with linens skirts and other decorative materials.
    • Prepare event essentials such as coffee ice and water.
    • Break down and store furniture after events ensuring all items are properly organized.
  • Linens Management:
    • Wash dry press and maintain linens using commercial-grade equipment.
  • Facility Cleaning:
    • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping vacuuming and dusting.
    • Wipe down and sanitize horizontal surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
    • Empty wastebaskets and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Safety and Inspections:
    • Inspect event and facility areas for potential safety concerns or hazards.
    • Report urgent repair needs or supply shortages to the Supervisor promptly.
    • Replenish cleaning and event supplies as needed.
  • Event Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Special Events group including faculty staff and parents to provide setup and breakdown support for campus events.
  • General Support:
    • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or School Administration to contribute to the smooth operation of the Facilities team and the success of campus events.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; and two years of related experience preferred.
  • Event setup and removal experience is preferred.
  • School cleaning experience is preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff faculty parents and external organizations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and event staff.
  • Physical capability to lift and move furniture supplies and equipment as required.
  • Able to safely operate a golf cart
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to work evenings weekends or extended hours as neededfor event schedules.
  • Adheres to the highest level of professionalism

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Intermittently lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously see sit balance grasp and have repetitive use of arms wrists hands and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
  • Frequently talk and hear.
  • Intermittently stand stoop bend twist crouch kneel crawl walk climb stairs step stools and ladders operate foot and hand controls squeeze and reach above shoulders.
  • Exposure to dust chemicals fumes flammables grease dirt stacked materials electrical equipment machinery low to medium noise levels and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
  • Long or odd hours as needed.
  • Individuals must also be able to safely operate agolf cart or similar vehicle.
