Were hiring a C Software Engineer for our Research & Development team in Brno with world-wide cooperation. Its a full-time role starting as soon as possible (by agreement).

What youll be doing

• Youll join a team building modern automation technologies as a Software Developer. Because we work with real physical devices this role is not fully remote youll need to be on-site regularly to collaborate and interact with the hardware.
• You may also take on DevOps and/or Cybersecurity tasks as part of your role setting up and maintaining project infrastructure spotting bottlenecks and reliability issues in the dev lifecycle monitoring services and resources and keeping an eye on vulnerabilities. Youll collaborate closely with the DevOps team and the IT department so clear communication really matters.
• Once the infrastructure is in place we build and document software under corporate guidelines ISO/IEC standards and EU/US directives and regulations. Were developing medical devices so compliance isnt extra its part of everyday work.

What were looking for

• Masters degree (or equivalent) in Informatics Electronics Mathematics or Physics.
• Friendly collaborative communicator with professional English (Czech is good benefit).
• You can work independently but you also thrive in a team.
• You stay patient and proactive when corporate IT processes take time.
• Youre the kind of developer who can also set up and own project infrastructure.
• Development focus is modern C and distributed systems (see skills below)

• Strong knowledge of modern C (C17/C20)
• Experience with client-server architecture
• Experience with gRPC / Protocol Buffers
• Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST / gRPC)
• Experience with asynchronous programming / multithreading

• DevOps/tooling (nice to have but not mandatory):
• Scripting & build tools: Bash/PowerShell Python Maven Ansible
• DevOps & CI/CD: Azure DevOps (Cloud Git/Repos Pipelines Artifacts)

Salary range

Salary is based on your development maturity and overall experience. Typical monthly ranges (gross) but it is up to further discussions:

• Junior: CZK (gross / month)
• Medior: CZK (gross / month)
• Senior: CZK (gross / month)

You wont get stuck in one box here. As you level up you can grow toward a Software Architect track or become a go-to specialist (e.g. DevOps cybersecurity build & release or domain expert on our instruments). Well support your direction with mentoring and learning opportunities.
