Responsibilities
As a Service Technician youll play a key role in keeping our customers up and running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing inspecting and servicing automotive lifts and related shop equipment
- Performing detailed safety inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Traveling throughout the Maritime provinces to service customers (day and overnight trips)
- Completing electronic service reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Managing service van parts and inventory
- Working closely with our operations team to continuously improve service quality and efficiency
- Identifying potential service and sales opportunities while on-site with customers
- Responding to customer service requests assigned by the Service Coordinator
- Following all company Occupational Health & Safety guidelines
- Participating in ongoing training mentorship and shadowing opportunities
Qualifications
Were looking for someone who is motivated reliable and eager to learn. You dont need to know everything or have experience servicing lifts well provide the required training.
Required attributes:
- Strong mechanical interest and aptitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfort with regular travel across the Maritimes (travel expenses and accommodations covered)
- Day trips approximately weekly
- Overnight trips approximately bi-weekly
- Valid drivers licence with a suitable driving abstract that demonstrates safe driving
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Ideal background (not required but considered an asset):
- Automotive mechanic experience
- Millwright or similar mechanical trade experience
