Job Summary
The Senior Auditor is a key member of the Internal Audit and Advisory Services team at Boston University. This client-facing position reports to the Manager Audit & Advisory Services. The ideal candidate is a highly independent self-starter with a strong work ethic a high degree of motivation and the attitude and ability to contribute to a positive team. Major duties of this position include: -Performs testing and other auditing review procedures. -Prepares working papers which document procedures performed and substantiated conclusion reached. -Assists in the preparation of audit reports and annual reviews. -Implements departmental process improvement opportunities using technology data analytics and best practices. -Participates in departmental improvement initiatives such as execution of assigned Strategic Plan goals completing required components of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program and pursuing professional development.
Pay Range: Salary Grade 47 -Minimum $53200 Midpoint $71900 Maximum $90500 Note: Salary is based on related experience expertise available budget and internal equity. -This position may be filled at the Consultant or Senior Consultant level depending on the selected candidates experience skills and qualifications. The anticipated salary range for this role is $60000 $75000 commensurate with level and experience. -Boston University supports a flexible work environment for authorized staff members. This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement after completion of a successful observation period.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree in business accounting or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in auditing business process improvement or similar role.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and develop audit programs and procedures without established guidance.
- Ability to work optimally and collaboratively in a small collegial cross-functional team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to present and explain complex information and suggest process improvements to diverse audiences.
- Reliable judgment strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
