Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist / Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with strong Cath Lab and EP experience to support a high-volume interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular program. This role involves assisting physicians during complex invasive procedures while ensuring optimal patient safety procedural efficiency and adherence to radiation safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in EP studies cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures along with strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procedural Support
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures
- Perform scrubbing circulating and monitoring roles as needed
- Record and monitor hemodynamic data during procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and specialized cath lab devices
- Assist with contrast administration under physician direction
- Maintain sterile technique and prepare procedural trays and sterile fields
- Safely position and transfer patients during procedures
Electrophysiology & Cath Lab Duties
- Support Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and cardiac catheterizations
- Stay current with EP technologies and procedural advancements
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols (ALARA standards)
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and workflow efficiency
Interventional & Vascular Procedures
Experience supporting a range of procedures including:
- Endovascular interventions (Aortogram LE/UE angiography carotid studies)
- Peripheral vascular procedures and AV fistula work
- Embolization and thrombolytic therapy
- IVC filter placements and dialysis access procedures
- Quinton catheter and PICC line placements
- TIPS procedures and biopsies
Non-Vascular Procedures
- Drain placements
- G/J tube procedures
- Biliary and renal interventions
Equipment & Supply Management
- Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance
- Ensure procedural room readiness and sterility compliance
- Assist with inventory and supply management
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program required
Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT (R) required
- State Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable) required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Completion of IABP training required
- Basic arrhythmia competency required within 12 months
- Completion of EP training program required
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-educational radiology experience
OR - At least 6 months recent Special Procedures experience within the last 2 years
Preferred Advanced Experience (Senior Level)
- 5 years recent EP/Cardiovascular Invasive experience OR
- CI VI or RCIS certification OR
- Equivalent advanced EP training and competency
