Job Summary

Beyer Blinder Belle with offices in New York City Boston Washington D.C. and Miami is seeking an enthusiastic Architectural Designer to join its Washington D.C. office. Our ideal candidate is excited about shaping meaningful civic cultural institutional and mixed-use environments through new construction historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects. I. Role

We are seeking a motivated Architectural Designer to join our Washington D.C. office and contribute to a range of projects including new construction historic preservation and adaptive reuse work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively through multiple project phases from conceptual design through construction administration and will bring strong technical and design capabilities to complex project environments.


II. Skills Knowledge and Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience (licensed or actively pursuing licensure)
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Strong proficiency in Revit required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required; familiarity with Enscape and Rhino strongly preferred
  • Ability to independently evaluate select and apply architectural design and technical solutions for specific assignments with support and direction from a Senior Architect or above
  • Experience working on existing buildings preservation or adaptive reuse projects strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with MEP systems coordination is a plus particularly within renovation and existing building conditions
  • Responsible for managing time effectively to meet deadlines and communicating proactively with project managers and team members
  • Responsible for document production design team coordination and contributing to collaborative production workflows
  • Strong graphic verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage deliverable production and schedules independently for smaller projects and with senior-level support on larger more complex projects
  • May provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members

Compensation

BBB offers fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $66000- $85000 with variations depending on experience education achievements and business needs. Employees may also receive an annual performance-based bonus and salary increase.
