Tax Compliance Assistant Manager

Hire Resolves client is a well-established and reputable accounting firm in Cape Town seeking a driven and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Assistant Manager/Manager to join their Entrepreneurial Business Services team in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Advisory
Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns
Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation including Income Tax and VAT
Provide professional tax advisory services to clients
Handle SARS queries objections appeals and complaints
Manage tax clearance and SARS e-Filing processes

Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Communicate complex tax matters in a clear and professional manner
Assist with onboarding new clients and managing client portfolios

Team Leadership and Development
Supervise mentor and review the work of junior staff
Provide training and ongoing support to team members
Manage project deadlines workflow and deliverables effectively

Requirements:
BCom in Accounting Taxation or related field
Postgraduate qualification in Tax advantageous
3 5 years relevant tax experience within an accounting firm or similar environment
Registered with relevant tax authorities such as SAIT
Strong experience with SARS e-Filing objections appeals and tax compliance processes
Must reside in Cape Town
Previous experience as a Tax Assistant Manager or Manager is essential
