Job Summary

Senior Palliative Care Nurse/Paramedic 37.5 hours per week

Starting salary 37081 per annum with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to 44078 per annum.

You will be an exceptionalrole model for our professional and hospice values while demonstrating an inclusive team approach and positive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and participate in the delivery of holistic patient centred care
  • Provide specialist symptom control to patients
  • Provide professional leadership to support colleagues in providing high quality care
  • Ensure patients and their families experience is professional welcoming relaxed and friendly
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and provide reports as required

What were looking for:

  • Knowledge of complex symptom control and understanding of symptoms of palliative emergencies
  • Experience in caring for patients with palliative and end of life needs
  • Keen to learn new clinical skills to actively support our ongoing service development and delivery
  • Experience of supporting junior staff
  • Advanced communication skills
  • NMC Adults Nursing level 1

Keech Hospice provides free specialist palliative and end of life care for people of all ages. We support adults in Bedfordshire. Children and their families in Bedfordshire Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes. At home in hospice or wherever were needed.

As a teaching hospice our exceptional people training and facilities are helping local communities to live and die well.
