Job Summary

Amalgamated Bank seeks Corporate Security Manager who is responsible for the oversight and administrative management of Physical Security for Amalgamated Bank branches and offices to include related persons and property within.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Responsible for the adherence and oversight of Physical Security policy and procedures
  2. Manage and program network access control systems and associated ID cards for HQ branches and DC corporate offices.
  3. Implements daily changes and access updates such as mandatory leave expirations extensions and terminations.
  4. Conduct fingerprint screening and assist HR with the onboarding of new hires and contractors.
  5. Oversee background screening results and expand research if necessary.
  6. Assist HR with terminations and when necessary exiting employees.
  7. Manage bank-wide CCTV surveillance systems while serving as a point of contact for law enforcement and / or government agency requests.
  8. Maintain Physical Security reports regarding service calls security incidents opening and closing procedures equipment maintenance and device testing.
  9. Updates Corporate Security reports: tracks records for service calls incident reports equipment and alarm maintenance checks.
  10. Collects monthly security device test reports and weekly opening/closing procedure reports from branches for Corporate Security tracking and audits
  11. Serve as emergency contact for alarm response.
  12. Support business units by providing secure area access reports.
  13. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate maintenance repair and installation of Physical Security equipment such as readers electronic surveillance and alarms. Monitor and report on geographic alerts and / or events regarding potential threats within the Amalgamated Bank footprint.
  14. Manage guard coverage for Amalgamated Bank locations and assist in executive protection services upon request.
  15. Manage billing and invoice workflow within the Avid system.
  16. Perform periodic HQ walk-throughs to identify and address security deficiencies and maintain adequate threat coverage.
  17. Assist in coordinating HQ events such as board meetings and private client events.
  18. Provide scheduled and specialized training.
  19. Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge Skills and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  2. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  3. Professionalism resourceful and creative approach to crucial elements of Physical Security
  4. Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
  5. Highly functional knowledge of computer-based business programs and security systems
  6. Sound decision making skills.
  7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  8. Excellent business communication skills
  9. Familiarity with Avigilon Alta Pinnacle March Networks DMP Alarms Virtual Keypad preferred


Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $70000 $85000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors such as: training transferrable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Work Model
Effective February 18 2025 employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more on-site per week Monday - Thursday although the specific days may vary by site or organization with Friday designated as a remote-working day unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
