Position Title: Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (Nights)
Department: Labor & Delivery / Medical-Surgical

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in a rural critical access hospital while also supporting Medical-Surgical patients during low OB census. This role requires flexibility to work across departments including OB Med Surg and ED as needed.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Willingness to assist with Med Surg patients when OB census is low
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in rural hospital setting
• Ability to work in a cross-functional nursing environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for laboring delivery and postpartum patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Assist with medication administration and treatment planning
• Support Med Surg patients during low OB census periods
• Collaborate with OB Med Surg and Emergency Department teams
• Respond to obstetric and medical emergencies as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in EMR systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
• Deliver compassionate patient-centered care in a rural healthcare setting
