Job Title: Site planner
Location: Austin TX
Duration: Contract (Possible for extension or hire)
What Youll Do
- Support the site planning team through all project phases - from concept to construction - contributing to design ideas documentation and coordination efforts.
- Prepare and develop drawings diagrams and models for schematic design design development and construction documentation under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist with field reviews to verify work aligns with drawings specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams project managers and external consultants contractors and vendors to support coordinated project delivery.
- Create presentation materials including illustrative plans diagrams 3D models renderings and graphics to communicate design intent.
- Participate in team design reviews coordination meetings and site walks to support continuous learning and project awareness.
- Communicate regularly with senior team members and projects leads on progress challenges and next steps.
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in urban design/urban planning/landscape architecture/civil engineering from an accredited program.
- 3 years of professional experience in site planning urban design landscape architecture people space design in corporate & workplace public spaces civic or commercial sectors. A portfolio demonstration of relevant experiences is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) and familiarity with ArcGIS Rhino Lumion or similar 3D rendering tools.
- Strong graphic representation data visualization and technical drafting skills with an understanding of how to translate design intent into clear construction documentation.
- Basic understanding of hardscape materials planting design stormwater management and sustainable/green infrastructure principles.
- Understanding of ecological and environmentally responsive design approaches including low-impact development (LID) and nature-based solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to fast-paced project environments.
