**Primarily 1st shift but will need to be able to flex to 2nd/3rd shift for coverage etc**
No OT expected at this time
This resource will improve Fabrications safety culture through active engagement: 48 hr conversation execution and project closure. The goal is simple: Get More Projects Done and Improve visibility to project completion.

As an OFP engineer you will provide daily engineering support to manufacturing areas in the Davenport Works fabrication departments:
- Support daily operation by responding to tactical safety issues
- Participate in Continuous Improvement to achieve CI200 targets for safety
- Innovate & implement safety & ergonomic improvement ideas
- Specify and design tooling to improve safety both pro-actively & reactively
- Communicate across multiple shifts
Engineering background required and familiarity with Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
Must be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a diverse team that includes UAW employees operations and engineering.
Metatarsals required for first day.
Onsite position. Remote work not possible.
Experience in primaries (lasers) secondary (bend) weld (both manual & robotic) & machining is nice to have but not required.
