Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piping & Structural Designer / Drafter to support engineering and design activities for Hyperscale Data Center Modules. This role will work closely with Engineers and the Engineering Manager to develop high-quality drawings layouts BOMs and design documentation in accordance with customer specifications QA/QC standards and industry codes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in EPC modular drafting & design piping and structural systems and proficiency with SolidWorks AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical piping and structural drawings and BOMs based on customer requirements.
• Develop bulk MTOs (Material Take-Offs) and detailed BOMs independently.
• Ensure compliance with Engineering standards and QA/QC requirements.
• Prepare layout drawings and equipment arrangement drawings.
• Create detailed deliverables including:
  • Piping layouts and isometrics
  • Structural GA drawings
  • Pipe support details
  • HVAC ducting drawings
  • P&IDs and flow diagrams
  • Equipment support and mounting details
  • Platforms ladders walkways and stairs per OSHA standards
  • Foundation and weld detail drawings
• Assist service teams by simulating field issues through drawings.
• Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) sequence drawings and procedures.
• Compile installation procedures for customer submission.
• Coordinate and supervise outsourced engineering design work.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with client specifications and standards.
• Generate reports and extract model data for project teams and clients.
• Support continuous improvement through lessons learned and process updates.

Qualifications

Education

• Technical Certification in Design Discipline or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical piping and structural design.
• Experience working in Hyperscale Data Center Modules or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to create sketches and conceptual layouts.
• Strong experience with CAD and BIM software.
• Experience with high-density data centers is highly preferred.
