Advanced Process Engineer Drug Substance

Responsibility

• Responsible for operational or administrative deliverables where output is complex.

• Work is performed independently or alternatively project work in small projects.

• Expected to support more senior staff in parts of larger processes or project on project

deliverables

• Demonstrates subject matter knowledge.

Decision Making

• Expected to take initiative prioritize and plan the work to reach deadlines.

• Makes operational decisions through a choice between known alternatives.

Proficiency

• Expected to adapt procedures processes tools equipment or techniques to accomplish the

correct output of specific assigned tasks.

• The work requires broad theoretical knowledge and some business experience

Main tasks

1. 95% project work in medium-sized to large projects working together with Senior or

Lead Engineers

1.1. Solve tasks independently. Complexity according to experience

1.2. Ensure changes to scope of work are brought to the attention of project

management or Sr/Lead engineer

1.3. Ensure quality/review and compliance with industry standards codes and

regulations of own work.

1.4. Alternatively project work in small projects working independently or with other

Engineers

2. 5% stay updated on the development of standards and guidelines/training/ Quality/

departmental development .

Required Skill Set

Coordination with other disciplines & conducting design review for engineering activities.

Have experience in the perform the Gemba (process Confirmation) for the required discipline.

Experienced in process equipment utility streams consumption and sizing calculations flow

and pressure drop analysis and biocontainment strategies.

Design and analysis of Bioprocess which involves upstream processing downstream

Recovery and purifications and processing equipment like fermenters bioreactors

chromatography autoclaves TFF process vessel centrifuge spray dryer etc.

Basic P&ID preparation understanding the key elements in P&ID P&ID flow path extended

P&ID review in 2D & 3D format and equipment layout drawings review.

Knowledge on mountings like sanitary valves PRV mixers instruments pump vent filters

etc.

Commissioning Qualification and troubleshooting /maintenance knowledge (additional).

Qualification & Experience

In all positions there are some things that are needed and others a bonus. We believe these

qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

BE / B. Tech or . / ME / M. Tech in Biotechnology/ Chemical or equivalent with minimum

and relevant experience of 10years

Must have design experience in CD BD DD & Construction phases of project execution.

Must have good knowledge of the current relevant Engineering & Pharma

legislation/regulations/guidelines/standards.

Knowledge/ work experience in MS VISIO AUTO CAD NAVISWORK BEAM REVU

simulation tools (SINETZ MAT LAB & DWSIM ) are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with success in building trustful relationships

and influencing others in cross-functional areas including customer management

Experience in Pharma Biotech industry is a must.
