Job Summary
Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant in ACT to work on Defence Space domain projects.
This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:
- Provide governance and assurance of contracted cyber security resources across Defence programs
- Support industry partners by defining clear compliant and achievable cyber security requirements
- Conduct structured evidence-based cyber security risk assessments
- Review and assure solutions developed by cyber SMEs to ensure alignment with Defence standards
- Operate within established Defence ICT security and engineering frameworks
What Youll Bring
- Demonstrated experience delivering cyber security governance assurance and risk assessment services in Defence or similar environments
- Strong understanding of Defence ICT security frameworks and engineering processes
- Ability to translate complex cyber requirements into practical guidance for industry stakeholders
- Experience mentoring or supporting cyber security staff across Commonwealth and Managed Service Provider environments (highly desirable)
Current holder or ability to maintain a high-level clearance highly desirable
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.

This role will be offered on a 12 month Maximum Term basis.
