Project Researcher II Specialising in Nanoparticle Synthesis (NanoPerspektiva Project)

Research Area: Synthesis of Nanoparticles and Implementation of Nanoparticles in In Vitro Operations

The NanoPerspective project is developed in collaboration with Mendel University which has extensive experience in the development of modern nanomaterials and in vitro operations. VITROTREE BY BATTISTINI s.r.o. plans to establish a manufacturing division focused on nanomaterials with antibacterial effects and their integration into the production process.

The project addresses the need to reduce costs increase efficiency and improve the quality and reliability of in vitro production which often faces issues with bacterial contamination and costly sterilization procedures. The aim is to develop and implement a new type of antibacterial nanomaterial intended for application directly into in vitro media after sterilization (up to 55 C). This approach will help limit the occurrence of bacterial infections reduce sterilization costs and promote the use of biodegradable materials.

The project focuses on two technological intentions:

• TZ1 Product: Development of an innovative antibacterial nanomaterial
• TZ2 Process: Optimization of sterilization and implementation of thermolabile substances including nanomaterials into production

The successful realization of both intentions will also enable the energy and waste transformation of the company particularly reducing dependency on natural gas and improving the processing of biodegradable waste.

The project supports candidates with limited work experience - it is aimed at graduates of masters or doctoral studies who completed their studies no more than 6 years ago.

What will your job be

• Collaboration on the implementation of project TZ1 throughout its duration
• Coordination of activities with the research team and company representatives involved in TZ1
• Ensuring the transfer of knowledge in the field of nanoparticle synthesis
• Supervision of the technicians activities and verification of the correctness of procedures performed
• Active engagement with a high level of collaboration with company staff
• Development of the ability to acquire transferred knowledge to a level enabling independent training of other staff
• Identification of problematic areas in the synthesis and production process
• Proposing independent solutions to arising problems and assessing the need for further professional consultation with a knowledge organization
• Transferring professional knowledge into corporate practice and supporting its sustainability after the project ends

• University education at the masters level in the field of nanomaterials synthesis or a related field
• Independence in solving research tasks and the ability to take responsibility for entrusted intentions
• Creative approach to work and willingness to seek new solutions
• Excellent communication skills in Czech essential for transferring professional knowledge into the Czech company communicative knowledge of English
• Able to work collaboratively in both academic and corporate environments
