Job Summary
Commissionaires BC is seeking for a reliable and motivated Security Guard to perform regular building patrols in Vancouver B.C. This role involves providing superior customer service and frequent internal and external patrols involves stairs.
Schedule:Mon - Fri 0800 - 1600
Wage:$22.20 per hour

Commissionaires BC is a Canadian not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities airports industrial sectors and commercial/residential guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
Schedule:Mon - Fri 0800 - 1600
Wage:$22.20 per hour
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
- Perform regular exterior and interior patrols including mechanical rooms
- Equipment alarm response and monitoring
- Provide access control as per site regulations including issuing of access keys
- Investigate security incidents escalating as necessary
- Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
- Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.
Your Must-Haves:
- A valid BC Security License
- Fluent English written verbal and reading skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Ability to complete continuous foot patrols walk up and down multiple sets of stairs during your shift
- Ability to work in an environment with dust exposure
