Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules inventory levels raw material levels and order fulfillment across chemical manufacturing and catalog distribution operations. This role ensures customer deamdn is met efficiently while maintaining regulatory compliance minimizing costs and maximizing plant productivity
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for chemical manufacturing operations based on:
o Customer demand forecasts
o Sales Orders
o Inventory targets
o Raw material lead times
o Manufacturing capacity constraints
Coordinate with:
o Sales and customer service
o Procurement
o Warehouse/logistics
o Quality assurance
o Manufacturing teams
Monitor inventory levels of:
o Raw materials
o Packaging components
o Finished goods
o Catalog SKUs
Ensure production plans align with:
o GMP standards
o Safety requirements
o Customer delivery expectations
Analyze supply chain bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve:
o On-time delivery
o Production efficiency
o Inventory turns
Manage ERP/MRP systems for:
o Work orders
o Material planning
o Purchase requisitions
Support new product launches and catalog expansions through coordinated planning
Track KPIs such as:
o Schedule adherence
o Inventory accuracy
o Service levels
o Capacity utilization
o Forecast accuracy
Lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) support processes
Supervision
Supervision Received: General supervision in the performance of routine duties. Direct supervision regarding unusual problems emergency situations and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Specific Skills Required:
Knowledge of purchasing and receiving activities and inventory control operations
Strong computer skills including MS Office
Demonstrated effective data analytic skills
Experience working with ERP programs (Materials Requirements Planning)
Excellent organizational communication collaborative and interpersonal skills
Specific Skills Desired:
Experience with ERP capacity planning programs
Experience with import planning
APICS certification
Educational Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Business Supply Chain or related field with 2 years of Supply Chain or Procurement experience.

Compensation:
Compensation:
- Base Salary Range: $80000 $110000 per year.
- Note: Actual base wage will be determined by candidate experience skillset and internal equity.
- Performance Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on both individual achievements and company performance metrics.
